Idegen voltam...
A bevándorlás és a menekültválság témájával kapcsolatban olyan kérdések vetődtek fel bennem, amelyekre úgy éreztem, csak akkor kaphatok választ, ha saját szememmel látom az eseményeket. Társaimmal a horvát-magyar, illetve az osztrák-szlovén határhoz utaztunk, de bármennyire is sok tapasztalattal gazdagodtunk és közelebbről ismertük meg a válságot kísérő jelenségeket, válaszok helyett újabb kérdések merültek fel bennem. Úgy döntöttem, hogy a bennem lévő értetlenséget, zavart és kételyt használom a projekt forrásaként, így összeállítottam egy olyan fotósorozatot, mely olyan hívószavakra alapszik, mint a "misztérium", "szürrealitás", és "idegenség". Célom az volt, hogy minél átélhetőbben közvetítsem a néző számára azt a hangulatot és lelkiállapotot, melyet én is éreztem a fotózások alkalmával.
I was a stranger...
'I was a stranger' is a university project about the recent refugee crisis in Europe. Before I started the series, I had many questions about the topic which I felt, could have only been answered if I am a witness to the events. Therefore, together with a few of my classmates we traveled to the Croatian-Hungarian border and the Austrian-Slovenian border, but no matter how much experience we gained or how closely we got acquainted with this crisis phenomenon, I only got more questions arose in me. I decided to use the obscurity, uneasiness and doubt in me as the source of the project, and I pieced together a photo-series based on keywords such as „mystery”, „surrealism”, and „strangeness”. My intention was to show the viewer the mood and the state of mind that I was in, during the shootings.
